P.A.W. Licensing Update
On Thursday, January 16th, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia, the Executive Bishop’s Council and the General Board of Bishops of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., under the leadership of Presiding Bishop Theodore L. Brooks, unanimously approved the recommendations presented by Aenon Bible College. These recommendations below, put forth by the official educational and licensing agency of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW), outline the new requirements for licensure effective January 2025.
Effective January 2025
Fellowship Papers
All ministers seeking Fellowship Papers with the PAW are required to do the following:
- Take four virtual classes outlined in the Aenon Bible College curriculum for beginning ministers.
- Upon completion of the pre-ministry classes, individual members will receive a certificate of completion.
- The minister will present the certificate to their Council and is eligible for Fellowship Papers.
Ministerial License of Elder
Ministerial License of Elder: All ministers seeking a Ministerial License with the PAW are required to do the following:
- All seeking ministerial license will complete the Project-Based Learning Two-Year Aenon Bible College curriculum for ministerial license.
- The required courses will be offered through the Bible Institutes and online platforms.
- The courses will be offered in cohorts beginning August 1, 2025.
- One is eligible to begin the ministerial course immediately after receiving their Fellowship Paper.
- Upon completion, Aenon Bible College will issue a certificate of completion and 3 hours toward a degree program.
- All candidates are required to complete a practicum.
The License of Ordination
All ministers seeking Ordination with the PAW are required to do the following:
- All persons seeking ordination will complete the Project-Based Learning 2-year Aenon Bible College curriculum for ordination.
- The required courses will be offered through the Bible Institutes and online platforms.
- The courses will be offered in cohorts beginning August 1, 2025
- One is eligible to begin the ordination course immediately after receiving their ministerial license.
- Upon completion, Aenon Bible College will issue a certificate of completion and 6 hours toward a degree program.
- All candidates are required to complete a practicum.
Pastoral Certificate
All ministers seeking renewal of license from the PAW are required to do the following:
- All persons seeking a Pastoral Certification will complete the Project-Based Learning 2-year Aenon Bible College curriculum.
- The required courses will be offered through Aenon Bible College and online
platforms.
- The courses will be offered in cohorts beginning August 1, 2025.
- Upon completion, Aenon Bible College will issue a certificate of completion and 6 hours toward a degree program
- All candidates are required to complete a practicum.
Required and Mandated Annual Professional Development Training For All Ministers and Leaders in the
Pastors Learning and Leading All ministers seeking renewal of license with the PAW are required to do the following:
- An annual professional development for all ministers and leaders in the organization.
- All ministers and leaders will attend a two-hour seminar outlined in the Aenon Bible College curriculum for license renewal (Master Class Series).
- The seminars will be offered online and in person.
- Upon completion of the seminar, Aenon Bible College will issue a certificate of completion.
- The minister will upload the certificate in the portal and pay the renewal fee.
